There seem to be many ways of referring to the various connectors and chip types found on motherboards and cards. This page illustrates various connectors along with the names used for them on this site. "SCSI" is a protocol, not a bus.
A given connector can have different pin-outs for different applications. These pages are merely an attempt to clarify the connector names used in hardware descriptions in this site.
