The original images are *.JPGs and the processed images are non-RLE *.BMPs
 Firstly...what I have done to the 4096 Palette
 Below is an original A170 pageshot of https://geminga2k.tripod.com/color/rainbow.htm; the "12-bit HTML rainbow".
A170 was run in VESA mode under W98||. The image was cropped using GIMP in TrueColor mode. While the image contains exactly 4096 unique colors they differ very slightly from the colors described in the *.HTM source:-(

This second shot displays the colors in the new palette. An emphasis has been placed upon light and dark flesh tones, the greens of flora, sky blues and cloud colors.

These comparisons show some strengths and weaknesses in the new palette. The fine-tuning process will take some time, but I am confident. (and patient;-)

Between the lines lie the entire contents of the GIMP palette file. It can be copied from the source of this web page and saved to your GIMP palette directory. Give it any name, with no file extension.
