Arachne?? What's that?

Well, it's the latest, greatest, on-going browser development project for DOS. If your computer is old (like mine;-), it's the biz. I cut my internet teeth on Windows98 and IE4, so Arachne took some getting used to. I think it was well worth it, though. Here's a few examples of Arachne comming out on top:
 Color!  Screenshot
If you don't have a VESA compatible (multi-frequency) monitor, then Arachne may be your only choice for high-color browsing.
 Fullscreen Display  Screenshot
Want to see web pages as clearly as possible? Only Arachne can use the monitor's *entire* viewable area to display web pages.
 Full Page Exporting  Screenshot (13.4KB)
On a computer with a reasonable ammount of RAM (4MB-8MB) Arachne can save a *.BMP image of an entire web page- up to 1600 pixels wide by 5000 pixels long. It's a great tool for web authors! This pageshot was made at 800x600 resolution and post-processed.
 Disable banner advertisments
Registered users can eliminate all 468x60 images. However, doing so might alter the page's layout. Still, many registered users prefer pages without banner adverts.
 Integrated e-mail client  Screenshot
'Nuff said.
 Integrated editor  Screenshot
Web pages, text files, you name it. When you're done editing choose:
Save, Send, or FTP Upload  Screenshot
For example: I use this feature to view, alter and replace my web pages on Tripod! All without the hassel of thier JavaScript interface.
 Fast performance on old computers
DOS is considerably more CPU-efficient than Windows and handles simple tasks much more quickly than Windows would on the same computer.
 Low system requirements
8086 with 600 KB RAM and 5MB hard drive space. Actually, though, advanced users run Arachne without any hard drive!
There are many other unique features, some of which I understand, some of which I don't. Arachne fulfills my needs in all areas except one: No JavaScript support:-( Soon, I am told, a new version will be available with experimental support for JS. Not sure, but I think that will be a first among DOS web browsers.
